Sitting Pretty

As you can see from the lack of posting, Liam has been a busy fellow these days. Along with rolling and scooting, he has also added sitting and grabbing to his list of exciting activities. He of course, needs help to get into the sitting position, but once he's up he'll stay for a while, especially with the help of his boppy pillow. See picture at left. (and yes, Liam is wearing diaper, it's hard to see it with that rattle there though.
I've been keeping busy corralling him into designated play areas and pulling him out of tight spots... he love getting stuck. I have also been enjoying a gigantic historical fiction epic that centers around Dublin, Ireland. Ireland has such a rich and interesting history. Reading the book makes me want to go there some day. The name "Liam" is actually an Irish form of the English name "William" which means shield or defender. "Edgar" his middle name means "good with a spear." So he's our little warrior I guess. :)
Uh oh... somebody's waking up from his nap. I better go get him... more to come. Love to all.

Liam is a rolly polly. He is going from back to tummy and tummy to back all the time now. He was particularlly proud of himself this morning, as you can see from the photos. He also has been doing little scoots to get to toys and other stuff that he shouldn't be getting too! Uh oh, time to baby proof!! So, Liam finally went in for his well baby visit today. The doctor says he's doing "perfect." He's very big though! 27 inches long and 17.8 pounds!! He actually just got over his battle with brociolitius yesterday. This is the first day in almost 2 weeks that I haven't had to clear his nose!!

Here is my current favorite Liam pic. I took it yesterday after I attacked him with tickles and he responded with real giggles!! Baby giggles are too cute!

A whole lot of other things have happened since the last post: I turned 25; Sarah finally had that baby, you go girl; and Grandmommy went to heaven to be with Jesus.

The birthday was lots of fun. Dinner out with the folks then roller skating with Paul. I love skating!! I wish we could go every weekend, but I would have to get someone to watch Liam, and Paul tires out so fast. :)

My grandmother was an incredible woman. She was creative and compassionate and deeply loved her Jesus. She always smiled and had a joke, no matter how bad things got. Tough as nails, I thought she would live forever. Here's to you Grandmommy, see ya on the other side.
