Ahh... I missed Liam's birthday again! He turned ten months on Friday. Can you believe it?? Liam's latest trick is standing without support. He pulls up on something and then just lets go. Sometimes he'll take a step or too to get from one piece of furniture to another. Needless to say, he's really keeping me on my toes! We had blocked the entrance to the kitchen with a trunk and it was working great. Until a couple of days ago that is! He can now climb up and over the trunk and land splat on his face on the kitchen door. So we were off to walmart to buy a baby gate! Tragically, the one that we got doesn't work for the space. Oh well.
Liam said his first word (other than Dada, of course!). It was his favorite food. He said "BA NA NA" on Thursday. Unfortunately, I have not been able to coax out a repeat performance. Oh well, such is life.
Interesting, Liam ate two whole bananas and some baked beans today. Today is the first time he's been willing to pick up and eat the banana himself! I just break him off a little piece and put it on his tray and he grabs it up. (for a while he made me feed it too him)

Auntie Elizabeth will show Liam someday how, every once in a while, she squeezes chocolate syrup out of the bottle onto the banana she's eating. It's like a banana split without the ice cream!
