Contractions!! But, still no baby...

So, no post for yesterday. I was up all night Wednesday/Thursday morning with Braxton-Hicks contractions. I was so sure it was the real thing that I finally packed that bag to bring with us to the birth center! LOL. Actually, it was my backache that kept me up mostly. The womb-squeezing action really didn't hurt at all, it was just annoying and made me want to change positions frequently. I tried sleeping on the bed, the rocker, and the sofa. I slept for about an hour just sitting on my exercise ball. By 6:40 when Paul's clock went off, I was crying like a maniac. Mostly because I was so tired, and b/c when I tried to wake Paul up at4am to tell him "it's time" he wouldn't even budge. Not only did he not believe me, but he immediately went back to sleep!! So, I was furious with him for the next 2 1/2 hours, which of course did NOT help me get any sleep. He was very sweet an apologetic when he did wake up though. He claims that he didn't even remember me trying to wake him up!! And I guess it was a good thing he didn't get up at 4, since it turned out to be a false alarm anyway. He was very sweet and staid home from work to keep an eye on me yesterday. He helped me get to sleep and watched me closely for any more "signs." So, the contractions finally stopped completely early yesterday afternoon. Oh well. I slept much better last night and feel a little more "normal" today. Praise the Lord!! I'm just trying not to be disappointed and just enjoy one more glorious day of being pregnant. :)
